বাংলাদেশ একটি নদীমাতৃক দেশ। নদী আমাদের চারপাশে ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে আছে; অথবা বলা যায় আমরা নদীর চারপাশে ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে আছি। এই নদী আমাদের সংস্কৃতি, আমাদের জীবন। এই নদী আমাদের ভালো লাগার, সুখের কারণ। আবার এই নদী আমাদের কষ্টের কারণ। এই নদীকে ঘিরেই আমাদের জীবন। আমরা অনেকেই এইদেশের  অনেক নদীর নাম জানিনা। যেটা আমাদের সবার জানা উচিত কারণ এটা আমাদের সংস্কৃতির বিরাট একটা অংশ।

রাঙ্গামাটির দেশে

সুযোগ পেলেই ঘুরে বেড়াই নদী, সাগর, পাহাড় কিংবা ভিন্ন কোন শহর। ছুটে চলি নৈসর্গিক সৌন্দর্যের টানে প্রকৃতির কাছে। কাপ্তাই লেক,কর্নফুলি নদী পুরো রাঙ্গামাটিকে আচ্ছন্ন করে রেখেছে। অথবা বলা যায় পুরো কাপ্তাই লেক, কর্ণফুলি নদী ঘিরে আছে রাঙ্গামাটি। আঁকাবাঁকা সরু রাস্তা ঘিরে আছে উঁচুনিচু পাহাড়।  আর পাহাড়ের কোল ঘেঁষে ঘুমিয়ে আছে শান্ত জলেরা। লেকের জলে ভেসে বেড়ায় ছোট বড় নৌকা। এছাড়া পাহাড় ঘেঁষে গড়ে উঠেছে নানা জনগোষ্ঠীর বসবাস।
